How to make a Hand-tied Spring Wedding bouquet, The Camellia, Slate River Valley, On

You're getting married in the Spring, and wondering about Flowers for your Wedding. Should you hire a Florist or well, look at all those photos on Pinterest, how hard can it be to do your own wedding bouquets?

YOU CAN DO IT ALL YOURSELF. BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO. Unless you have years of Floral training, hire a florist. Take a look at this how to make a Spring Hand-tied Bouquet video from Mayhesh Flowers.

https://youtu.be/sKIahNswlu4
A bouquet like the one in this video would start at $250.00 and go up from there. Want fabulous Flowers? Give your florist a decent budget to work with...do not go into a shop and tell them you have 11 Bridesmaids with a budget of $40.00 ea. Plan ahead and book your Florist, 6 months to a year ahead.

Now you can move onto fun stuff like finding that perfect Tropical island for your Honeymoon.

And you can get on with planning with other stuff - such as:  can planters with palm trees be rented?
Come see us at The Camellia to discuss your Spring Wedding Flowers!

Making a Floral backdrop for your Wedding,The Camellia, Thunder Bay

Thinking about a gorgeous Floral backdrop for your Wedding? Maybe you are thinking of doing-it-yourself? After all, it looks easy, or what do you think? You're going to get the flowers from the grocery store, the same grocery where you buy your meat and oranges...? Florists get asked these questions all the time. Anyone who has made these Floral walls know that Floral walls are labour-intensive, use a lot of product, and are expensive. Flowers must be sourced from reputable Florists, and not from grocery stores. The mechanics alone are are quite difficult.

These Flower walls use a lot of product, expensive product. Ranunculus as in the photo above, peonies, roses, hydrangeas, are just a few of the flowers needed to make a floral wall.

Here are some videos to watch from Smithers-Oasis and Mayhesh which show you how it's done.

Getting married in Napa Valley, California

Napa Valley is a wonderful place to get married ..... there are rows and rows of vines and Olive trees.
It almost never rains in California. There are so many lovely venues for photographs.

You can incorporate Wine-tastings at one of the many Vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, & St. Helena.

This is where a ceremony was being held the day we were visiting Napa Valley. Low level lighting and many barrels of wine set the stage for a beautiful ceremony.

The smell of the barrels and wine wafts through the air.....

Even with the drought in California, these Olive trees are lovely. We visited Napa Valley in October...the days were hot and sunny, with a bit of morning fog and cloud.

This is an entrance to a private estate with rows of cypress trees. A stunning photo op.

So many places to stop and have lunch, or Wine, or both.

This dramatic chandelier just adds to the ambiance in the wineries, as seen in Yountville.
