Sometimes relationships don't work from the get-go, and there is a child involved. At first, you may feel sorry for the child who is caught in the "Daddy's house, Mommy's house" and their life sees like a whirlwind of 2 days here, and a week there, and crying when he or she has to leave the one parent to go to the other. There he is, a tiny human, packsack on back, being carted from 1 home to another.

Raising kids is never easy, and shared custody means one parent can have some alone time to regain their sanity and get their own errands done. 

When the child is small, it can be hard on them...." Where are you going, Daddy...?"Crying fits and major meltdowns."

For a lot of couples getting married, shared custody, & visitation schedules have to be addressed before the Wedding.

Our wedding has to be postponed AGAIN because of Covid ....what should we do?

 

This is a common concern among those of you planning to get married.... It is so easy to fall into a pit of depression, and misery. Eventually Life will return to normal, and then there will be a line-up of people needing similar services. It would be good to have a discussion with those companies you want to hire for your Wedding, with a tentative date being set. This insures that you have a place in the line-up, once everything opens up and we are able to have a celebration of more than 5 or 10 people. Perhaps you plan on having an after-ceremony celebration at home, so maybe picking out paint colours, and planning any necessary Home renos, and getting them done now would be a good idea. If your Home reno requires a contractor, there is even more urgency to plan ahead. Building materials are  in short supply, and there are staffing restrictions due to covid.

These are the years of a different kind of Wedding. Normally, Summer is the time when we are busy attending Wedding celebrations. Covid is still with us, and there are no large gatherings. Couples are getting tired of putting their wedding plans on hold indefinitely. Some Weddings are still happening, but on a much smaller scale. There is a new trend: Weddings from Home. Weddings are taking place in homes and backyards. Photos are being taken beside one of our many Lakes in Northwestern Ontario, and beside Lake Superior.
