Peony Love, the Camellia, Thunder Bay

 Peonies are one of my favourite Flowers , they especially look beautiful in wedding bouquets. And they smell nice. You can gather them from your garden, picking them when they are about half open is best. The key to keeping them fresh is to hydrate, hydrate and hydrate. These babies need lots of water.

A September Wedding, The Camellia, Thunder Bay

September is the perfect time to get married. The summer's heat has become bearable, the bugs and biting flies have subsided, and the changing colours of the leaves become a stunning backdrop for photographs. Yellow, oranges, rusts, burgundys, and browns - such a wide colour spectrum to choose from.

Ceremony decorations made from neutral earthtones and bundles of wheat can be reused as door swags after the wedding.

Centerpieces can be made from faux flowers with an insert of fresh sunflowers, again these can be re-used after the ceremony.

Pumpkins can be gilded and glittered and used as centrepieces on the tables at your Reception.

And the marvelous colours of Fall are free!

It's Summer time, and a lot of Weddings are taking place now. Here in Thunder Bay we will have 2 full days of sun and no rain, so lucky you who are getting married this weekend. The Camellia is the place to get your Wedding Flowers in Thunder Bay if you love Country and Vintage style.

Summer Weddings

Summer is a popular time to get married. As I am writing this, my desk is covered with Wedding invitations, one in the Hamptons, 1 taking place in Jamaica, and 1 in Edmonton, Alberta. And another in Toronto. So many weddings, and decisions to be made as to which ones to attend.

At The Camellia, we put together a plan for your reception decor, these lovely Vases contain seeded Eucalyptus, hydrangeas, roses, and proteas with hypericum berries.
