Happy Canada Day! Happy Canada Day!    Hello everyone! are you enjoying this beautiful warm weather we're having? Only in Thunder Bay would they issue a heat warning when the high is going to be 29C. It's easy to get complacent and take our life in Canada for granted. I have lived in Canada for almost 43 years, before that I was in British Guyana, on the north coast of South America. Lately we've been watching 'Island of Bryan" on HGTV, where Brian and his crew are rebuilding a large resort in the Bahamas. I plead guilty to moaning about how bad Canadian weather is (in the Winter), but watching Island of Bryan is a reminder of the scorpions, snakes, termites, and other unmentionables. One BIG thing we take for granted in Canada isthat we can walk into a store and there are items on the shelf to buy. This is not always the case in the Caribbean...goods are imported and have to get shipped through Miami, then it has to clear customs, etc. You can't imagine how challenging it is to make a meal missing staples like flour, and cooking oil. Third World countries are broke, quite often, with no money to import food.  Building a Home is equally difficult, trying to procure fans and A/C units. What do you LoVe most about living in Canada?  We are OPEN Canada Day Weekend here at The Camellia. Friday 11-5, Sat. 11-5. and Sunday 12-5, Monday we are closed.  I just want to find some ME time...Time to do all the things I want to do, the ...someday, I will....  what have you put on hold waiting for someday..?
