Wedding shoes in all their glory, The Camellia,Thunder Bay

Today I would like to share this great post from Alan Dickson on Shoes...http://www.alandickson.com/article/shoes-glorious-shoes-3594.asp

Shoes in Weddings now can mean anything from a fancy shoe to a  Cowboy boot or a rubber farm boot, to a Vintage shoe, and so much more. Not to forget colour co-ordinated runners, and  fun  flip-flops. When you are considering shoes, do take into account how much time you may spend standing on your feet. Those shoes may look great, but feel awful by the end of the night. Most Brides kick off their shoes and are dancing barefoot by the end of their event.

I am obsessing over YELLOW right now, and wanted to share with you this great site www.stylemepretty.com. So many cool Inspiration boards and Real Weddings

Love the POP of the Yellow - so bright and cheery.

If you want bright and cheery, yellow is your colour and here at The Camellia, we do bright Wedding flowers, like these yellow tulips seen at Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, Holland.

Love these yellow Gerbera daisies and sweet smelling yellow freesias.

Not to be outdone, yellow blooms from our Summer garden at the Camellia. For bright yellow Wedding flowers and  DIY Wedding classes, Visit the Camellia at 30, Hacquoil Rd. Slate River, Thunder Bay, On. p-807)-475-3551

A May Wedding, The Camellia, Thunder Bay

May Weddings can be beautiful, a time of Spring and birth and new beginnings. . Here is a bouquet we designed for a lovely May bride, Kimberly. Faux flowers make a great choice at this time of year, as we never know what the weather will be like in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

If the weather is not great, you can always run away to  Banff.
One might be tempted by the snow-capped peaks surrounding The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, not to mention the sparkling turquoise waters, and pristine wilderness. What a backdrop for your Wedding photos! This majestic "Castle in the Rockies" is located in the heart of Banff National Park.

What a grand entrance the bride would make...sweeping down this staircase...sigh...

A different view of the Bride's bouquet.

The bridesmaids bouquets , with Navy blue dresses.

Tiny Dutch shoes - a nod to the family's Dutch heritage.

Faux corsages and boutonierres look lovely, and will stay looking lovely.

And they make a great keepsake of your Wedding Day.

Another fab Wedding venue we stumbled upon was Bottega in Yountville, California. Just look at these grounds!

Sparkling fountains, the it-never-rains-in-California-sunshine, wisteria blossoms, and roses blooming...

Lovely vistas of Napa Valley Vineyards!

Come visit us at The Camellia for lovely wedding Flowers like the ones in these photos which were custom designed for Kimberly and Steven. We are at 30, Hacquoil Rd. Thunder Bay, On. We can ship within Canada. call 807)475-3551, or toll-free outside Thunder Bay at 1-877-523-7444.
