A May Wedding, The Camellia, Thunder Bay

      May Weddings can be beautiful, a time of Spring and birth and new beginnings. . Here is a bouquet we designed for a lovely May bride, Kimberly. Faux flowers make a great choice at this time of year, as we never know what the weather will be like in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

If the weather is not great, you can always run away to  Banff.

One might be tempted by the snow-capped peaks surrounding The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, not to mention the sparkling turquoise waters, and pristine wilderness. What a backdrop for your Wedding photos! This majestic "Castle in the Rockies" is located in the heart of Banff National Park.

What a grand entrance the bride would make...sweeping down this staircase...sigh...

Today we're sharing with you our Visit to the Weddings Lab at Junk Bonanza, 2013 - Inspired looks for down the aisle style!!  Are you thinking about incorporating Vintage elements into your Wedding celebrations? Then you've come to the right place!  The Lab focused on 3 distinct looks - Modern Glam, Bohemian Romantic, and Funky Geographic.

So great to see old items being reused and repurposed. On today,  Earth Day, reusing instead of throwing away, makes so much sense for the Earth. This vignette really appealed to me, as I love mossy green.

         This is part of the Funky Geographic Lab, " What better way to start a life together than a wedding inspired by the "World" that awaits you? Styled by Heather Dempsey of                       GetMarried.com  and Jane Hall of Mustard Moon.

Vintage -looking paper Flowers add  a lot to your celebration, you can purchase these at The Camellia. They would look lovely on the back of Chairs.  Or hanging from the ceiling as a backdrop to the Head table. Don't you just love the ruffled burlap table cover in the background?

Lace Tablecloths fit well into the Bohemian Romantic look.

As a Wedding favour, why not plant succulents? Add a Thank you tag and a care tag for plants, and give to your guests .

Keep an eye out for letters, keeping in mind what you would like to spell  out.

Old Birdcages can serve as the Gifts holder, or you can fill it with candles ( battery operated flickers).

Do not overlook foilage, it's what makes the Flowers look interesting! Usually, quite cost-effective, as leaves cost less than flowers.
